The emblem of the Interplanetary Development Corporation: Earth and Mars joined by an orbital path, with a spacecraft travelling outward toward a distant star.

The Interplanetary Development Corporation

Founded on the Moon. Chartered for Mars. The IDC is the organisation issuing your brief — and the one your team has to convince.

2035

Born from the lunar era

The IDC grew out of the private aerospace firms that built and supplied Earth's first permanent lunar bases. Consolidating them under one charter turned a scattered industry into a single operator with the scale to work off-world.

2040s

Proven on the Moon

Profitable lunar mining and a spotless safety record made the corporation the recognised authority on off-world infrastructure — habitats, power, transport, and the logistics that hold them together.

2050

First landings on Mars

Proof-of-concept landings confirmed what the models predicted: Mars could be worked, and eventually lived on. The corporation began drafting the requirements for a permanent settlement.

2088

The call for proposals

The IDC opens the contract to competing firms. Design a colony for 500 permanent residents and up to 150 transient guests — 650 people in total — that is self-sufficient, defensible, and commercially viable within a 10-year build.

// The emblem

Reading the mark.

Earth, a departure, an orbital path, Mars, and a star beyond it. The corporation's whole thesis in one badge: humanity leaving Earth and advancing toward Mars and the stars.

01

Earth

The origin, drawn small and deliberately unglamorous. It is where the journey starts, not where it ends.

02

The orbital path

A dashed transfer arc between the two planets — the route, and the years of planning it represents.

03

The spacecraft

Mid-flight and angled to the arc, because the corporation defines itself by the crossing, not the arrival.

04

Mars and the star

The current destination, and the one after it. The IDC's charter does not stop at one planet.

The corporation's requirements are set out in full in the official brief.
